The territory of the Principality of Monaco today covers 195 hectares (1,95km²). It is divided into seven districts:

- The Rock, its historic centre;

- Fontvieille, built on the sea;

- The Exotic Garden district overlooking the Principality;

- La Condamine, around the Port;

- Monte Carlo, with the Casino and Opéra;

- La Rousse, eastward to the border;

- Larvotto, the district nearest the Mediterranean Sea.

MUSEE D'ANTHROPOLOGIE PREHISTORIQUE  - MONACO

The museum founded by Prince Albert 1st of Monaco, retraces the most significant milestones in the history of humanity.


Rich with a priceless series of tombs, the collections displayed also bring together industries, fauna and ceramics from the Principality and its surrounding areas.


The Albert 1st room presents the remains found during excavations by the museum's teams or donations.


The Prince Rainier III room hosts temporary exhibitions related to prehistory.

MUSEE NAVAL  - MONACO

A thrilling history of the navy illustrated by one of the most complete and diversified collections in Europe including 250 models of famous ships. Open all year round.

MUSEE OCEANOGRAPHIQUE DE MONACO  - MONACO

This museum to the glory of the oceans thrones 80 metres above the sea on a prime location on the Rock of Monaco. All the sciences of the sea are presented in a remarkable collection of marine fauna, naturalised marine creatures and skeletons. When you're there, don't miss the thrilling spectacle of the Aquarium with its exuberant underwater fauna and flora. "Shark Lagoon", a new giant aquarium, reveals the wonders of a tropical lagoon and its ecosystem on one side of the coral reef, and on the other, the predators' territory. Witness a "live dive": every Tuesday and Thursday in July, August and September. Open all year round.

NOUVEAU MUSEE NATIONAL DE MONACO - VILLA PALOMA ET VILLA SAUBER  - MONACO

Calm and serenity await at the Roseraie Princesse Grace. It’s 4,000 rose trees, with over 150 varieties, make for a delightful walk before you head off to the Parc Paysager de Fontvieille. Its four hectares are home to a multitude of plants from around the whole world.
