Outdoor Activities: fun and excitement

Play at being Tarzan and Jane in the trees, relive a (mini) tour de France in the countryside back from the coast, have a game of golf, imagine being a bird while paragliding... The French Riviera – it's invigorating. You have a thirst for physical challenges? Go for it!

If you want to have fun by giving yourself a scare, head for one of the many forest adventure courses in the area. The idea? You can experience all sorts of excitement in an extra-wild natural park set up with monkey bridges, rope ladders, swings and other Tyrolean giants. Your nimbleness is tested as you go from tree to tree. At La Colmiane, the courses ("a lot", "passionately", "madly") may appeal to the most cautious as well as the boldest. At Sospel, you and your mountain bike can follow in the tracks of Fabien Barel and Nicolas Vouilloz. It’s on these mountain biking circuits that our two downhill champions do their warm-up practice. Tende, with its numerous paths devoted to this sport, is another mountain bikers’ paradise. In the heart of the forest, only one hour from the sea, without a sound to disturb one, it’s time to concentrate on the track and its challenging descents: just enough to give one a thrill without getting worn out.

Verticality
The stressed out on the edge of hysteria can try golf. Be warned: "Try it – you’ll love it!". It’s even truer on the magnificent courses of the French Riviera like the Royal Mougins Golf Resort. Finally, to get close to the summits, there are various options. Take climbing: nervous or reckless, you can find what you want every time on the French Riviera. From Baou de St Jeannet to la Tête de Chien at la Turbie,, not forgetting bouldering, without ropes or harness at Annot, the hinterland is a fantastic playground for climbers. Adventurous? Take off in a paraglider, from Gourdon, Sospel, or Roquebrune... Our dreams of flying come true and a delectable feeling of freedom.
