In the 1970s, the most famous French perfumers contributed to maintaining the growing of jasmine in Grasse along with that of Rosa centifolia, thereby preserving these emblematic flowers for the future along with the tradition and know-how of Grasse.

The Tourist Bureau of Grasse organizes tours of the fields where the flowers are grown, according to the seasons, when they are in bloom.

After four years of works, the new International Museum of Perfumery reopened last 18 October. 

Founded in 1989, this unique museum is dedicated to one of the most prestigious traditional French activities. 

It promotes the preservation and promotion of the international heritage of smells, flavours and fragrances.

In the village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup, Yves Terrillon works with Confiserie Florian (a confectioners’ which offers free guided tours of the establishment) to create cooking classes for cuisine with flowers. His specialities: bonbon de foie gras à la violette, shortbread biscuits with rose petals...
