Celebration at La Bastide Saint-Antoine
La Bastide Saint-Antoine, Jacques Chibois’s "Relais & Châteaux" establishment in Grasse, on 9 January, will host the 14th Truffle Market. For Michel Santinelli, chairman of the Syndicat des Trufficulteurs des Alpes-Maritimes: "This is the best showcase to remind consumers and restaurateurs of the economic cultural and gustatory value of black truffles, their existence in the Alpes-Maritimes and their value as a major local product". Jacques Chibois emphasizes that "Truffles are the product of conviviality and sharing, symbolizing the defence of local territories and landscapes".
Festive, fun, poetic, the poster for this event was designed this year by the painter Théo Tobiasse, one of the great artists of Saint-Paul-de-Vence.
The festival will continue on 10 January in the neighbouring village of Le Rouret whose weekly market, founded in 2008, takes place every Friday afternoon, from mid-December to early March.
