CLOS DU PEYRONNET  - MENTON

Laid out by Humphrey Waterfield, these gardens blend colour and movement by means of a "water stairways" composed of successive ponds.

FONTANA ROSA, LE JARDIN DES ROMANCIERS  - MENTON

Also classified as an historic site, this amazing garden with its Spanish-style ceramics was designed in the 'twenties by novelist Vicente Blasco-Ibañez.

JARDIN BOTANIQUE DU VAL RAHMEH  - MENTON

An "annex" of the National Museum of Natural History, this garden proposes a tour of the world of botany. It boasts the only specimen of the Sophora Toromiro, the mythical tree of Easter Island.

JARDIN DE LA SERRE DE LA MADONE  - MENTON

Classified as an historic site, this garden was laid out between 1919 and 1939 by the renowned landscape-gardener Lawrence Johnstone, creator of Hidcote Manor. Terraces, rockeries, pergolas, ponds and orange grove, plus a profusion of rare species and perfumed plants make this a really privileged place.

JARDIN DE MARIA SERENA  - MENTON

The most temperate garden in all France. Tropical and sub-tropical plants were acclimatized here in a garden of 3.75 acres, including an important collection of palm-trees and cycas.

JARDIN DES COLOMBIERES  - MENTON

Designed by the painter-novelist Ferdinand Bac, this garden is planned out like a voyage around the Mediterranean. It mainly contains cypress and olive trees.
