A fleet of pointus (fishing boats typical of southern France) decked with locally grown flowers (carnations, mimosa...) forming a variety of motifs parade in Port de la Santé in Villefranche-sur-Mer to the delight of the crowds gathered around the harbour for Carnival Monday (Lundi Gras). The sailors file past the public and along the wharves, throwing flowers among the spectators.
