The Mimosa celebrates animals

In 2012, Mandelieu will celebrate its emblematic flower, mimosa, around the theme The Mimosa celebrates animals.

Saturday 18 February
Election of the Mimosa Queen at the Centre Expo Congrès at 2:30pm
Evening parade in the city centre at 6:30 pm

Sunday 19 February
Grand Corso and flower parade -  La Napoule at 2:30 pm

Saturday 25 February 
Corso nocturbe - La Napoule at 6:00 pm

Sunday 26 February
Grand Corso and llower parade  - La Napoule at 2:30 pm

And, for the first time, from 24 to 26 February

Salon Provence Prestige, a trade fair dedicated to the art of living in Provence... at the Centre Expo Congrès from 10am to 9pm (10am to 7pm on 25 February)

 

 

Around the Festival… many activities 
are organized by the Tourist Bureau
   
        

- A hike in "Mimosa Country"
Accompanied by a guide, discover the forest with mimosa trees in bloom and the trails in the Tanneron Massif overlooking Mandelieu-La Napoule (approx 2-hour walk).
Dates : 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 27 February 2012

- Excursion by coach: "from mimosa to perfume"
Starting from Mandelieu-La Napoule across Europe’s largest forest of mimosa to the village of Tanneron to visit a mimosa hothouse. Continuation to Grasse to visit a perfumery that uses mimosa in its perfumes.
Dates : 16, 17, 18, 20, 23, 24, 25, 27 février 2012.
