For twenty-five years, he has been working on his éclairages (lighting). These works, mainly in the form of projections of light, oriented, framed and focalised, can be seen not only as simple images, shapes or geometric signs of light projected in real space, but also and mainly as indices and symbols of the event, the act, the fact, the object and the device represented by the exhibition, according to the angle in which we broach it.
In the spatial interstices, inside and outside the Fernand Léger National Museum, Michel Verjux’s works must be understood as a tribute to the man who, throughout his life, saw walls as the ideal support for a work of art.
