Exhibition: ‘Picasso, les chemins du sud', in Cannes
1 July - 30 September 2012
In this exhibition, ‘Picasso, Les chemins du Sud' (Picasso, Paths of the South), ‘Le Centre d'art La Malmaison', in partnership with the ‘Musée National Picasso Paris', develops a concept based on the painter's creative activity after he settled in Vallauris in 1947.
|The highlights of this summer event will be paintings and sculptures but also photogrammes and photomontages, created in collaboration with the photographer André Villers; all works conceived at Vallauris, Cannes and then Mougins between 1950 and 1967. Among various themes broached by the painter after the blue period, these works relate with humour the feelings drawn from his inexhaustible imagination.
